Honble Chief Minister flagged off the new buses and handed over pensionary benefits to the retired Transport Department employees.

Applications are invited for the post of Dean (Nautical) for Tamil Nadu Maritime Academy at Thoothukudi on contract basis.
Number of Post: - One
Qualifications : - Essential:
(a) Certificate of Competency as Master (Foreign Going) issued or recognized by the Government of India.
(b) Must have served at least 5 years on Merchant Ships including Master and Mates of 5 years.
Qualifications : - Desirable:
(a) Member of Nautical Shipping organization/ Association.
(b) Sound Knowledge of STCW/IMO/DGS Rules and Regulations.
(c) Training of Trainers and Assessors Course for faculty members.
Age limit: Maximum of 60 years relaxable on par with the prevailing DGS requirements.
Pay: Consolidated salary of Rs 75,000/- per month on contract basis.
