HON’BLE CHIEF MINISTER AWARDS ANNA MEDALS TO 130 OFFICERS/MEN IN POLICE & OTHER UNIFORMED SERVICES ON THE OCCASION OF DR. ANNA’S BIRTHDAY
In recognition of the Outstanding Devotion to Duty of the Police, Fire & Rescue Service, Prison Service, Home Guards and Finger Print Science personnel in the State and also to encourage them, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Medals are announced and awarded on the occasion of Dr.Anna’s Birthday on 15th September, every year.
Accordingly, this year 100 Police personnel from the rank of Superintendent of Police to the rank of Grade-I Police Constables, 10 Fire and Rescue Service personnel from the rank of District Officer to Fireman, 10 Prison Service personnel from the rank of Superintendent to Grade II Warder, 8 Home Guards personnel in the ranks of Section Leader, Company Commander, Home Guard and Platoon Commander and also two Deputy Superintendents of Police in police Finger Print Science for their excellence service, totally 130 personnel have been awarded the “Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Anna Medal” in recognition of their outstanding devotion to duty. The recipients of the above Medal are eligible for a bronze medal and a lumpsum grant according to the ranks as specified in the Medal Rules.
These Medals will be presented by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to the recipients in a Ceremonial Medal Parade to be held in due course.
