Invitation for EOI to Carry Out District Need Assessment on Child Protection.


    The Department of Social Defence intends to  carry out  District Need Assessment  on  Child Protection  in all the 32 District of Tamil Nadu under Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) as per GOI norms.  Expressions of Interest (EOI) are invited on behalf of Tamil Nadu State Child Protection Society (TNSCPS) by  the  Department of Social Defence, Government of Tamil Nadu from prominent Registered Non-Governmental Agencies (NGA) /  NonGovernment Organization (NGO) / Academic Institutions (AI)  etc.  to  carry out District Need Assessment on Child Protection in all the 32 Districts of the State.

      Weightage and preference would be given to the NGA / NGO / AI having a proven track record and adequate and competent human resource.  The NGA / NGO / AI  etc.

    Interested organizations are requested to submit their proposals to

 Director of Social Defence, 
 No.300, Purasaiwalkam High Road,
 Kellys, Chennai-10.  


     The EOIs  should  reach  the Director of Social Defence  on or before 26.12.2012. EOI received after the last date shall be summarily rejected.  The short-listed agency will be asked to submit their detailed proposals in due course. TNSCPS will have the right to reject any or all EOIs, received in response to this invitation, and its decision in this regard shall be final and binding.

Online Applications for Renewal Scholarship.


Last date for submission of online applications for  renewal scholarship by students.


Scheme of Merit cum means based scholarship to students belonging to minority communities.

Objective:
   The objective of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities to enable them to pursue professional and technical courses.

Scope:
    These scholarships are available for studies in India only and will be awarded through an Agency designated by the State Government/UT Administration for this purpose.

Inviting NGO’s- for Implementing Anemia Control Programme.


STATE  HEALTH SOCIETY – TAMIL NADU 

Expression of Interest for inviting NGO’s- for implementing Anemia Control Programme among Pregnant women and Adolescent Girls using behavioural change communication strategy in eighteen districts in the state of Tamil Nadu through PPP mode

Objectives: 

 The State Health Society, Tamil Nadu invites from  the reputed Non- Governmental  Organisation for implementation of Anaemia Control  Programme among pregnant women and adolescent girls using a behaviour change communication strategy  in 18 Districts in the State of TamilNadu. The project has already been piloted in one block in each of the  5 districts namely Theni, Thanjavur, Dindugul, Ramnad and Madurai.

Strategy: 

  • Baseline survey 
  • Identification of problems 
  • Developing BCC strategy in line with the outcome of the pilot programme implemented in  five districts. 
  • Implementation of BCC strategy 
  • Monitoring 
  • Evaluation 


Brief High lights: 

  • The State Health Society will provide  Financial support to the organisation 
  • The NGO will have to work in tandem with the Health Department in the districts 
  • The NGO  should develop BCC strategy using renowned Public Health and Communication experts in line with the outcome of the pilot programme implemented in five districts. 
  • Monitoring Committees should be set up at all levels.
