An Appeal to Animal Lovers to feed the Street Animals during COVID Lockdown Period

       The Tamil Nadu Animal Welfare Board is taking all the possible measures to mitigate the sufferings of Street Animals that are perpetually dependent on the largesse of the animal lovers and Members of Animal Welfare Organisations throughout the State for their food. Due to the lockdown, in order to support the endeavour of the animals feeders, the Tamil Nadu Animal Welfare Board has proposed to raise funds from good Samaritans through donations for feeding of street/community animals by procuring feed for them. A separate bank account has been dedicated for the above purpose in ICICI bank, cenotaph road branch, Chennai.

    Public, Industry, Philanthropic organisations, NGOs / CBOs are requested to contribute to Animal Welfare Fund as much as possible for this noble cause for feeding street animals during the lockdown period. The Contributions may be sent through online transaction to the Bank account as detailed below:-

    The amount will be utilised for the procurement of Dry Feed and other foods by the Tamil Nadu Animal Welfare Board for the supply to the Street Animals through organizations involved in animal welfare activities in their respective areas, depending upon the need. It is also informed that feeder passes/animal rescue passes are being issued to individuals, animal welfare activists by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services in all Districts in Collaboration with concerned local bodies. மாண்புமிகு தமிழ்நாடு முதலமைச்சர்‌ திரு. மு.க.ஸ்டாலின்‌ அவர்கள்‌ அறிக்கை

நாடாளுமன்ற நடைமுறைகளைப்‌ புறக்கணித்து அவசரம்‌ அவசரமாகக்‌ கொண்டு வந்த “விலை உறுதி மற்றும்‌ பண்ணைச்‌ சேவைச்சட்டம்‌ 2020”, “வேளாண்மை உற்பத்தி வர்த்தகம்‌ மற்றும்‌ வர்த்தக மேம்பாட்டுச்‌ சட்டம்‌ 2020”, “அத்தியாவசியப்‌ பொருள்கள்‌ திருத்தச்‌ சட்டம்‌ 2020” ஆகிய மூன்று வேளாண்‌ சட்டங்களையும்‌ எதிர்த்து நாடு முழுவதும்‌ உள்ள விவசாயிகள்‌ டெல்லியில்‌ தங்கள்‌ போராட்டத்தைத்‌ துவங்கி இன்றுடன்‌ (26.5.2021) ஆறு மாத காலம்‌ நிறைவு பெறுகிறது.

2. In the letter seventh read above, the Tamil Nadu Medical Council had instructed the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services that as large number of candidates have already been admitted for internship training at three District Headquarters Hospital in Kancheepuram, Cuddalore and Erode Districts, the officer in-charge may take suitable steps to repost candidates in excess of 40 per year, as required in Medical Council of India / National Medical Commission norms in curriculum, to other District Head quarters Hospital and other Medical Colleges.

3. In the letter eight read above, the Director of Medical Education has stated that due to COVID-19 pandemic situation and no Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship Trainees have at present available to be posted for medical emergency and final MBBS students who are awaiting their results to enter Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship Trainings and since there is acute shortage of Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship Trainees in the Medical College Hospitals requested to give permission to post the above 80 Foreign Medical Graduate Candidates in the following institutions without obtaining ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University as a onetime measure to manage the present COVID crisis and also to provide adequate manpower to run the COVID hospitals / COVID Health Centres / COVID care Centres :-
